Version 1.x of Angular was referred to as the AngularJS framework, but when Google upgraded their framework to Versiion 2 and beyond, AngularJS became just Angular. The framework has continued to be refined and the feature-set has continued to grow. The current version (2022) is Version 13.
Microsoft .NET moves from .NET framework to .NET CORE, and is just .NET now
Microsoft announces .NET Core as it's blazing fast, lightweight and modular platform for creating web applications and services that run on Windows, Linux and Mac. The original .NET framework has continued to be upgraded (V4.7x) and .NET Core is now up to Version 7.0, and is now shedding its CORE qualifier to become, simply, .NET.
